About "Miss Katelyn"
Katelyn Johnson, Lead Baker, graduated from Southern Adventist University with a degree in Vegetarian Culinary Arts. After two years at Weimar College, she spent a couple of years in the mission field serving in Belize and Ukraine as a health worker; and then a year in Laos, teaching English. She was baking cinnamon rolls even in the jungles of Belize, and they have become one of her signature breads. This past year she has specialized in sourdough artisan breads.
She grew up on a family farm in south central Washington. She enjoys getting together with the families of her six siblings and being the best aunt ever to thirteen nieces and nephews. (Three generations have attended UCA.) She now lives on campus with her two little kitties, Chai and Biscotti.
